STANDARD JEWEL
CASES
The standard jewel case has been around for years and
while there are a lot of options for retail packaging these days, the jewel case is still going strong. The
standard jewel case includes your cover insert (which is the front cover when your CD is closed and wrapped) and
the traycard. The tray card is the back of the package when your CD is closed and wrapped. It includes the fold up
spines. The spines are much like the spine of a book. They are there so when your disc is placed on a shelf they
can see the title and artist on the spine. We offer both a 2 panel insert (Front and Inside with no fold) or the 4
panel insert (2 sided print folded into a booklet). Both our packages above include a clear tray with the tray card
printed in full color on both sides. If you prefer a black tray with a one side print just note that on the
order.
Retail stores prefer jewel cases because they fit in their display
cases. Some of the more exotic packages present problems for the retailers who don't want to change their
displays.

Slimline Jewel Cases are a second option. These work great for EP's and promotional projects. There is no spot
for a traycard on a slimline but you can put any normal cover configuration in the case. The price includes
shrink wrap. They are a nice looking case at 1/2 the thickness of a standard case. Mailing costs are usually
less with these too if you plan to mail your discs out.
